Project Details
Materia tells the story of unique and premium products that improve the quality of life. Sourcing only the highest quality goods from around the globe. With a belief that when we prioritise our wellbeing – mind, body, and spirit – we can find balance in this hectic modern world and become focused, stronger and more loving. They have created a supportive community of likeminded individuals, one that promotes connection, inclusivity, and diversion with self-love at the core of everything.
When I was approached by Maja, the founder of Materia, the goal was clear. To create a brand that encompassed all of her values both in visual and verbal tone of voice, and combine them into a complete eco-system that comprised of brand and digital strategy, branding, packaging, print and responsive web design. The result combines approachability with premium cleanliness and use of space. Refined but with personality. An ethereal themed marque and brand speckle pattern based on constellations ties the packaging and web together, and also underpins digital assets for a consistent visual language. Product names and straplines like ‘Oh Honey Honey’ and ‘We love you so Matcha’ layer personality into the mix, with subtle animation applied to digital touchpoint to punch up the user experience.
All in all the project involved logo, marque and branding (strategy and design), a flexible packaging system covering multiple products, responsive web design as well as print and supporting digital assets. A complete and coherent eco-system.
